What size scooter do I need for Philadelphia commuting?
For short city trips and neighborhood errands, a 50cc moped is perfect — it gets 90–110 MPG and can be operated with a standard driver's license or moped permit in Pennsylvania. For longer commutes on Roosevelt Boulevard, I-95 corridors, or from the suburbs, a 150cc scooter offers the speed and power to keep up with traffic while still averaging 70–85 MPG. What age is right for a kids' ATV or dirt bike?
Ages 4–7 typically start on a 50cc ATV or dirt bike with training wheels or a throttle limiter. Ages 7–11 do well on 70cc–110cc models with parent-controlled speed governors. Ages 12 and up can usually handle 125cc and larger machines. We always recommend adult supervision, proper helmets, and riding on private property or designated trails. What safety features come with youth off-road vehicles?
Our youth ATVs and dirt bikes include adjustable speed governors, remote kill switches, and throttle limiters so parents control how fast their child can go. Go-karts add full roll cages, 4-point harnesses, and padded steering wheels. We strongly recommend pairing any youth vehicle with a DOT-approved helmet, gloves, and goggles — all available in our showroom.
